Dolls give me the creeps, always have.
As a child i had a special hatred for Barbie.
Barbie would get pummelled against my basement walls,
although there was a nagging discomfort and guilt I associated with my violent actions,
try as i might i could never pull her head off completely.
In more recent years I developed a special appreciation for dolls when I saw Todd Haynes' "Superstar: The Karen Carpenter Story"
I appreciate any film that relates to humans and their various conditions
without employing actual humans.
When I finish this video, I will dedicate it to Mr. Haynes.
